Ever since I had to chop off my long locks (it was so ruined by the sun) last year into a short bob…I’ve been heartbroken over it, 6 months has gone by and I still haven’t got over it.

Til now, I’m still convincing myself that change is good! Change is good…repeating myself over and over again in an effort to convince myself! Ok I admit, while the bob does suit me and my fiance tells me that he loves my hair, I can’t help but feel a bit green eyed, surrounded by lebanese women with perfectly long flowing locks looking like they were born from the hairdresser. With overwhelming frustration and determination for my quest to long hair,  I had gone overboard on googling hair vitamins, ‘Top 10 food for hair’, eating walnuts like there’s no tomorrow and looking for  products for strong thick hair (yes I foolishly fell for it hook line and sinker)!

This obsession means a trip to the hairdressers usually involves me bringing my own boatload of my hair products, stocked with shampoos, conditioners, hair thermal protection cream, spilt end protection and hair serum! Yesterday, I booked a coloring session with my hairstylist and midway while driving there ‘OHHHHHHH SHHHH…..TTTTTTT’ comes into my head! I had forgotten to bring my precious products…’Oh well, I guess I’ll manage without it this once’….

‘Where’s your bag’…my hair stylist immediately notices and yes he meant the ones I forgot back home… he starts laughing at my frown and then jokingly tells me that all my products are putting him out of work since I only come in once every 2 months!

During my appointment, I noticed a leaflet on the table for Keratase Elixir Ultime…I heard so much about them in the blog world, magazines and even at my local nail salon…It has gotten great reviews and feedback, even though I thought it was quite a bit expensive ($44)…I impulsively brought it and wow I do not regret it! Silk in a bottle, that’s what it is. This light serum, gave my hair shine and softness that it so longly missed. The secret in Exlir Ultime is due to a blend of beautifying oils of Maize, Pracaxi, Camellia and Argan oils.

Maize Oil delivers emollient and anti-oxidant active ingredients for ultimate shine.

Pracaxi Oil brings shine, nourishment and deep conditioning to the hair.

Camellia Oil helps smooth the hair fiber, resulting in incredible shine.

Argan Oil helps restore strength to the hair and protects it from external aggressors.

According to the leaflet, it has multi-use..one of which I applied on my damp hair before styling and also as a finishing touch after.

  1. This product can be used before cleansing to remove impurities and deeply nourish.
  2. Elixir can be administered to damp hair for intense conditioning.
  3. Utilize before blow-drying for additional protection and shine.
  4. Add product as a finishing touch for enhanced shine and frizz-control.
  5. Apply multi-use elixir to dry ends throughout the day for ultimate smoothness.

A must buy especially for summer, humid conditions, chopping off my locks was a lesson learned   ♥ ♥
